Show Notes

Psychosomatics is the study of the relationship between the mind and the body, and how psychological factors can affect physical health. In the context of cystic fibrosis, psychosomatic factors may play a role in the development and progression of this genetic respiratory disorder.

Cystic fibrosis is a chronic respiratory disorder that is caused by a genetic mutation. It causes the body to produce thick, sticky mucus that can clog the lungs and cause respiratory infections and other complications. While the physical causes of cystic fibrosis are largely genetic, it is possible that psychosomatic factors may contribute to the emotional and psychological impact of the disorder.
