Do You Know the Difference Between Fear & Your Inner Voice?

We often hold ourselves back from achieving our goals due to fear – but do we ever take the time to distinguish between fear and our inner voice? The two can have similar effects on us, so here’s how to tell them apart:

📌Fear vs Caution
Fear tells us that something bad is going to happen if we go through with a certain task; it sets off the alarms in our minds causing us to retreat into safety. However, caution encourages us to think twice before making a decision and weigh up all of the pros & cons. Despite both being protective measures, they differ greatly in terms of intensity!

📌Intuition vs Anxiety
Intuition gives us subtle hints about what direction our lives should be taking; this is usually quite gentle compared to anxiety which pushes us around until we give in. Intuition is like an internal compass that helps lead us down the path of least resistance whereas anxiety makes things harder by piling pressure onto an already difficult situation!

📌Rational Thinking vs Impulsivity
Rational thinking allows us to consider potential outcomes and make decisions based on logic; this usually leads to positive results because we are able to weigh up all options before deciding on one. On the other hand, impulsivity involves acting upon instinct without considering consequences; this could potentially result in some big mistakes being made!

📌Perspective
It’s important for us all to remember that fear can be beneficial at times; it serves as a useful warning system when we are feeling threatened or uncertain. That being said, if fear starts becoming a crutch, it’s time for us to take a step back & evaluate where it’s coming from – are you listening to your inner voice or just succumbing to irrational worries?
